Well, I'm starting to get used to my crazy new work schedule. This semester, in addition to my regular job (and my "mom" job), I decided to TA for two classes. This ends up being quite a bit of work! I'm now working full time while preparing for comps and doing my domestic stuff. It took some time to get used to juggling all this, but now I'm on point. Dagney and I have even had some time to enjoy the sun lately! We've been spending some time playing in the yard with Sammy, painting by the pool, and swimming a little.

Dagney has developed quite the love for music. She likes to dance and drum, and the other day, she helped herself to the piano at her school. It's a good thing, because we're trying to channel her energy into dancing. She got busted for hitting at school last week. Repeated timeouts on Thursday. However, she also came home one day with an undocumented bite, so I'm not sure that the hittee didn't have it coming. My baby is just a vengeful baby. An eye for an eye.

Last week our friends Gundu and Snehal moved back to India, which has been very sad for us. Sam lost his best friend Gundu, I was finally getting to know Snehal, and Dagney will miss Arnav. We were very sad to see them go. We'll keep up on facebook, but it's just not the same! We are tentatively planning a trip to India in a couple years to see them.

Meanwhile, we had a good (albeit rainy) Labor Day. Dagney's daycare is closed today due to the weather, so I'm having an unexpected day off. We met Daddy for lunch, Dagney took a (very) short nap, and now she's playing in the bathtub. In other Dagney news, she's saying "Hi" and can ask for "more milk." She also can identify eyes and noses (yours and hers). Also, last weekend when mom was visiting, she didn't get Dagney's milk warm enough, and Dagney led her into the kitchen and pointed at the microwave. Stinker!

Next week Sam is out of town on business, and I think I will die! I don't know what I'll do without my baby-wrangling help! Maybe it'll be easier, since I don't have to clean the house or cook ;) I can just eat fast food and wallow in my own filth for a week and clean up the day before he comes back. Ahhh, I feel much better now that that's settled....
