Lately, Dagney has been up to some new things! She can now smile spontaneously, which is so cute! She also can lift her head pretty well. When she's on her belly she rocks back and forth as if she's trying to crawl, then gets mad because she can't. She's also learning how to take a pacifier, which is a chore since her thrust reflex is still so strong. It took a really long time for her umbilical stump to fall off; but now she's a pro at big-girl baths. Nothing gets her ready for bed like a nice, soothing lavender bath!
Earlier in the week, Sam and I went to Atlanta overnight and Dagney stayed home with grandma and papa. She fared a lot better than we did; we missed her so much! Here are some recent pictures of our big (almost) 7 week old!:
