Weekend Update

This weekend we had a surprise visit from G and Nona! It was so nice; yesterday we had a great visit and dinner at P.F. Chang's. Dagney was so good, even though we had to wait an hour and a half for a table! We were so proud of her; she was such an adventurous eater-- chicken lo mein, calamari, hunan beef, honey chicken, and crispy green beans. Then we came back home and played until Dagney fell asleep on Nona.

Today, we took Sammy, Lance, and Dagney to Oak Mountain State Park to roam for a while. We took a picnic of fried chicken and snacks. It actually wasn't oppressively hot; there was a nice breeze blowing. The pooches got some chicken too, and Dagney and G played monster peek-a-boo for quite a while. It was a fun day.

After the park, Sam converted Dagney's crib into a toddler bed. Dagney has been sleeping in our bed since she outgrew her bassinet, but we're hoping that not being confined to her crib will make her give her new bed a chance. She's practically been in her bed since we got it put together. She napped in our bed (as usual) and as soon as she got up, she went into her room, saw the bed and jumped in to "read a book." She played with some toys in there, and now she is asleep in it. :) Hopefully, she'll keep it up (and so will we)!

Trying out her big girl bed!
