Toddler 1 Class

Dagney started Toddler 1 class on Monday. She only went half a day on Monday, so she could get in gradually. Her new class uses nap mats on cots, rather than cribs. They also have a lot of activities!

Yesterday, Dagney had a full day-- singing, reading a story, playing on the indoor playground, and doing flashcards! Whew! Most importantly, she took the longest nap she's ever had at daycare-- almost 2 1/2 hours. She either really likes the nap mat, or all the activity wore her out! At any rate, she was able to stay awake until 9:00 last night. We usually have a really hard time keeping her up; since she doesn't nap well (if at all) during the day, she wants to nap when we get home at 5:30. This, of course, leads to her being up too late at night!

I'm excited about her new class; I'm optimistic about getting her napping habits in order. She's already made tremendous progress with her sippy cup-- they don't allow bottles at all. She came home hungry the first day, and by the second, she had it figured out! Yesterday my little muncher had Trix and milk, sloppy joes and cheese puffs, then cookies and milk. I think she's fitting in well!
