Well, it turns out Dagney has plenty of love to go around. She has gotten an additional lovey-- Gus, the adorable (if somewhat overweight) rodent from Cinderella.

This weekend, we got Dagney some squeaky sandals. They are so cute, and she loves them! When we first put them on her, she stood in front of the couch stomping her feet, just so she could hear them squeak! I took a video of her squeaking around the pool deck:

Dagney loves to play in and around the pool. I'm glad she's not afraid of the water, but she doesn't even have an appreciation of the potential danger there. The other day, while she was sitting on the first step, she just dove off of it into the pool. She sunk like a ton of bricks. I grabbed her and yanked her out, and she was just grinning. I set her outside the pool to collect herself, but she was already ready to get back in. It seems I was the only one that needed "collecting."

We went to the Chik-fil-a playground yesterday. It was Dagney's first playground experience, although not much of an "experience." She basically stood against the bench where Sam and I were sitting. I knew she wouldn't climb up and go down the slide or anything, but I thought she'd at least be tempted by the bright colors. Nope; she was tempted by her fruit cup and milk. Nothing else.

In very important news, I have discovered Dagney's top secret hiding place. About three weeks ago, my iPhone went missing. Sam and I tore the house apart, sure that it had been in the house last. We couldn't find it anywhere. We gave up after a week of searching. Sam thought Dagney had taken it, so after replacing my iPhone, we gave her my old Blackberry to play with. She studied it for a minute, marched over to the trashcan, lifted the lid, and dropped it in. If that wasn't proof positive, I lost Stephie's house key while I was house-sitting for her last week and eventually found it at the bottom of the trashcan. We now know, without a doubt, that my 4 month-old iPhone is in a landfill somewhere. :( We are now in the market for a baby-proof trashcan. Meanwhile, it looks like a lovely day for a swim!
