After she made a friend, we had bath pictures made with the little claw foot tub. I needed to hurry up and have them done, because (truth be told) she's getting a little big for them. Ordinarily, Dagney does very well at her portrait sessions, but today we lost her toward the end. Mommy learned a valuable lesson: Don't schedule portraits at 3:00, no matter how late the baby sleeps in the morning.
After her nap, she went running with me. The Couch to 5K is going well; one week in and I'm not miserable. On the contrary, I actually feel pretty good. Dagney had a blast running around the track in her stroller. She was laughing and waving the whole time! Counterproductive to my week of running, I ate a ginormous burger for dinner. I didn't feel like cooking dinner since I had already cooked Aloo Matar for Sam's lunch tomorrow, and shortbread cookies and chicken dip for Teacher Appreciation at Dagney's school. I hope the teachers appreciate my appreciation; it's a pain to bake now that Dagney has figured out that there is a drawer full of shiny percussion instruments under the stove! Alas, a mom's work is never done!
