This past weekend, we celebrated Dagney's 1st birthday. It was a great day! Sam and I spent most of the day before cooking and prepping for the party, while G and Nona entertained Dagney. We had quite a turnout for the party-- all the grandparents, great gran and pawpaw, great uncle Al, great aunt Carol, auntie Stephie, Kevin, aunt Jennifer, Tater, Abby, Katie, Amie, and Nikki. We had so much help the day of the party. I am so happy with how everyone banded together to make our little girl's day so special. We had good food and great company; Dagney macked down on a pimento cheese sandwich! She was a little reluctant with her cake, but I think she just had a little stage fright. She recovered and smashed it up good and proper! She got all kinds of great presents, which we appreciated and she was (of course) disinterested in. She did have an absolute blast getting pulled around in her new wagon. She was laughing and waving so regally. Our little princess!
We also celebrated Mothers' Day yesterday (since we had to drive back today). Daddy loaned Dagney the money to buy me a gorgeous pair of diamond earrings. I love them!
