Shower Games

Well, Dagney has found out where I hide when I take a shower. Now, she likes to come in and throw the shower curtain back, laughing. I say, "Peek-a-boo!" and then the fun begins. She will open and close the shower curtain repeatedly; she never gets tired of peek-a-boo. I much prefer this to the other shower game she likes to play: drop something really heavy behind mommy and scare the shit out of her while she has soap in her eyes. Not my fave.

We have recently had two washcloth casualties; Dagney likes to put them down the drain. I also lifted the toilet seat one day to find a pair of my shoes. I don't know what it is with this kid and water, but she LOVES to play in it. I find surprises in Sammy's water bowl all the time-- usually Dagney's toys. Recently, she has started sticking her face under the running water when she's in the bath. You would think she'd be afraid of it, but she just closes her eyes and lets the water run in her face. Silly girl.

She also decides when she's ready for a bath now. The other day while we were in the bathroom, she just started throwing toys in the bathtub. She put three or four toys in there, her bubble bath, and her shampoo, then threw one leg over the side of the tub like she was jumping in. She was so impatient! She tried three more times to get in while the tub was filling. Such a little character; she is so much fun!
